Eudice Levine Gersten, 86, of Fair Lawn died on April 7, 2020.
Originally from East New York, Brooklyn, Eudice was a proud graduate of Thomas JefferEudiceson High School. Soon after, she married Irwin Gersten (z"l), a survivor of the Holocaust. Eudice was a legal secretary for 35 years.
Eudice and Irwin were stalwart members of the Fair Lawn Jewish Center for over a half century. She was also a long-standing volunteer for the Center, and handled their Yahrzeit notices for 20 years, until her passing.
She was beloved by her Chavurah and Mah Jongg circle of friends, and found pleasure in traveling widely with her sister Lenore Levine Sachs (z"l). She was especially fond of animals, and supported various charities which help animals and wildlife.
Eudice is survived by her children, Fern Weis (Eric) of Wayne, Seth Gersten (Dolores) in FL, and her beloved grandchildren, Sarah and Joshua.
The family requests that donations in her memory be made to the Gersten Memorial Fund of the Fair Lawn Jewish Center, or to the Jewish National Fund.
