Stanley Robert Hittman of Glen Rock NJ died on (3/01/2018) at the age of 77. Stanley was the son of Isidore
(Irving) Hittman and Anna(Finkler) Hittman. He was born and grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from CCNY with a degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduation in 1962 he joined the Atomic Energy Commission where he completed a program in nuclear engineering in Oak Ridge TN. Stan also received an MBA from CUNY Baruch College in 1971.
Stan spent 10 years in the design and development of nuclear power plants. Stan also spent 41 years in the manufacturing and selling of printing ink. The last 34 years he worked for Superior Printing Ink Company of Teterboro NJ where he was Executive Vice President in charge of manufacturing, R&D and sales for 23 years before retiring in August 2013.
Stan was active in his community. He was President of the Glen Rock Jewish Center from 1982 thru 1984.
He was a charter member of the Glen Rock Pops Orchestra where he played clarinet for 23 years.
He also served on the Zoning Board for one year.
Stan is survived by Sheila, his wife of (12/24/62) years, his son Ian Hittman and wife Stacy of Chestnut Ridge NY,
his daughter Carolyn Settlow and husband Robert of Glen Rock and six grandchildren, Nathaniel, Rachel and Aaron
Hittman and Nicole, Amanda and Evan Settlow. He is also survived by his brother Barry Hittman of
Woodhaven NY and his fiancé Joann.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel,150 State Route 4, Paramus, NJ, followed by internment at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus,l NJ
