Jack David Deitchman, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the Actor's Home in Englewood on Jan.7, 2019. Born in the Bronx and raised in North Bergen, NJ, Jack was the oldest son of six children born to Ben and Claire Deitchman. Jack graduated Fairleigh Dickinson University and went to work as a media professional at several large advertising agencies before spending the majority of his career as an executive at Ogilvy & Mather.
Jack married the former Marilyn J. Mohl, a visual artist formerly from Fair Lawn, NJ and had two sons, Ian Deitchman, a screenwriter living in Burbank, CA and Andrew Deitchman, an entrepreneur now living in Brooklyn, NY. Jack and Marilyn met and fell in love when they were very young. They had been married for fifty-six years.
Jack is survived by his wife, his sons and daughters in law, and three grandchildren, Sadie Deitchman, Charlie Deitchman, and Elias Deitchman. His sister, Susan Greenberg, and brothers, Michael, Dan, and Jesse, also survive him. He will be missed greatly by his many friends and family who loved him.
