Marianne Sally (Trubin) Zwanger passed away on February 29, 2020 in Pasadena, California. She was 79. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Zwanger was born on March 3, 1940 to Lillian and Samuel Trubin in Rumson, NJ. She attended the University of Rhode Island and graduated from Monmouth College. She married Stanley Zwanger in 1966 and they lived for many happy years in Fair Lawn, NJ. She worked as a bookkeeper for Sunrise Photo, ThermCo, and other companies until she retired in 2006. In 2017, she moved to California to be closer to her family.
Mrs. Zwanger was a member of the Fair Lawn Republican Club until 2016 and a congregant of Congregation B'nai Israel and later the Fair Lawn Jewish Center. She enjoyed discussing politics and current events; reading mystery novels and watching TV and movies; playing Scrabble; listening to bluegrass and blues music; and anything to do with railroads - all while drinking good coffee.
Mrs. Zwanger was pre-deceased by her husband Stanley and her parents. She is survived by her son, Steven Zwanger; her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren, Meryl Zwanger, Wesley Thompson, Sylvie Thompson, and Jasper Thompson; and her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchild, Samara Zwanger, Adrian Goulbourn, and Chloe Zwanger.
Funeral services will be held at Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel in Paramus, NJ on Sunday, March 8 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Monmouth Fields Cemetery, West Long Branch, NJ.
