William Grossman, born January 27, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY passed away peacefully on August 16, 2020 at the age of 90 in Englewood Hospital. He is survived by his beloved family; his sons Richard and Michael, daughter-in-law Janet and grand pup Enid.
Bill graduated from the business school at Syracuse University in 1952 where he met his wife Florence of 54 years who pre-deceased him in 2006. In 1951, Bill was inducted into the Army and upon graduation from college he went on to attended officer candidate school. After the completion of OCS, he served in Korea as a forward observer for the 25th Division Artillery and became a First Lieutenant.
Bill went on to a career in the travel industry as an executive, business owner and served as president of the National Tour Association. Upon retirement, he became a volunteer at Englewood Hospital for over twelve years and served more than five thousand hours.
One of the attributes Bill will be most remembered for is his love of people and his incredible work ethic. He will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed by his infectious smile and incredible sense of humor.
