Bernard Morton Jaffe died peacefully in his sleep the morning of December 3rd. He was the beloved husband of the late Norma (née Scherr) for 61 years and survived by his two loving sons, Ralph (Shelley) and James (Denise), five grandchildren Rachel and Rich (Marko), Benjamin and Francesca Jaffe, Jacob Jaffe, Todd Monahan and Stephanie and Daniel (Sauter) and great grandchildren Miles, Vera and Pace.
Bernard graduated from Boys High School, City College and Brooklyn Law School and served honorably as an intelligence officer in the Army during World War II. His spent his career as a corporate attorney and officer of Sun Chemical Corporation before retiring as Vice President in 1988. He was an avid reader and golfer but most importantly loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services to be held at Robert Schoem’s Menorah Chapel at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 4th, followed by burial at Cedar Park Cemetery (Paramus, NJ). Immediately following, the family will receive friends at James’ and Denise’s home at at 72 Victor Place in Hawthorne, NJ.
