Rae Alcheh of Mountainside, NJ, wife of David Alcheh, passed away on November 25, 2021 at the age of 91 after a brief illness. Born on January 1, 1930 in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Dora Weiner and sister of the late Nathan Weiner and Eva Davis. She was surrounded on her last day by her husband, her daughters, her sons-in-law, and her grandchildren.
Rae lived in the Bronx throughout her childhood and most of her adult life. She met her future husband David at the Tamiment Resort in the Poconos. They were married on September 27, 1959 and spent 62 years together. Rae and Dave raised their daughters, Linda and Michele, in the Bronx, eventually moving to Iselin, NJ, in 2001 and to Mountainside, NJ in 2019.
Rae is survived by her loving family: Husband David of Mountainside, NJ; Linda Kaplan (daughter) and Jay Kaplan (son-in-law) of Westfield, NJ; Michele Ruttenberg (daughter) and David Ruttenberg (son-in-law) of Norwalk, CT. She leaves behind five grandchildren: Amy, Brian and Alex Kaplan and Jordan and Alison Ruttenberg. She will be remembered as a beloved and loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt who cared about family above all else.
