Richard “Dick” Kraft passed away in Park Ridge, New Jersey on November 17, 2021, following a long and heroic battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Dick was the loving husband of Barbara for 56 years, the devoted father of Courtney (and David) Levi and Matt (and Jennifer) Kraft, and the caring and adoring grandfather to Parker, Chloe, Gus, and Scooter. In addition to his family, Dick is survived by his loving and compassionate caregiver Nina Pachkoria.
Dick was born in 1929 to Sadye and George Kraft. He grew up on Mosholu Parkway in the Bronx and remembered his youth fondly throughout his life. After serving in the Coast Guard, he graduated from Ohio State University. In 1961, Dick began a long and illustrious career as a financial advisor. He advised countless families, across several generations, with care and innovation, ultimately retiring from Merrill Lynch in 2005. During his 44 years as a financial advisor, he was most proud of his friendships with his clients and his mentorship of various colleagues. In addition to his passion for work and family, his love of tennis and basketball were ever-present forces in his life. Dick will be remembered by family and friends alike for his compassion, his quick wit, and his love of life.
