Theodore Peter "Ted" Glueck (6/29/1934 – 2/21/2022) passed away peacefully on Monday evening. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his children, Evan, Mindy, Ken, Leanne, Judi, Tim, Mike, Beth, and Craig; and his six amazing grandchildren Brian, Matt, Jamie, Corey, Jack, and Tyler, of whom he was so proud. He was predeceased by his wife Blanche Rosen Glueck.
Raised in the Bronx, New York, he attended DeWitt Clinton High School. Ted served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He attended Lehigh University and graduated from New York University under the G.I. Bill. Ted started his long and distinguished career in commercial banking with Chase Manhattan Bank and later, Bankers Trust Company. Subsequently, he served as Vice Chairman of Meyers Parking Systems, Inc., a publicly owned nationwide real estate and parking company. He founded and led a turnaround management and investment banking company.
For 30 years he was associated with Bank Leumi Group, Israel's oldest and largest bank, serving as a Director, Acting Chairman, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Loan Committee of its U.S. subsidiary Bank Leumi USA.
Seeing the successes of those he mentored brought Ted an immense sense of accomplishment. Ted was the first to offer his hand or a hug. He was the cheerleader of his family. He was the friend who never let an occasion pass. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
